I can’t believe I’m writing a post about our TWINS GENDER REVEAL!! God is SO good!!!
Friday night, we had our gender reveal and it was SUCH a fun celebration! Our sweet friend, Mine’ who has twin boys of her own helped us organize the actual reveal items. We decided to use smoke Bombs (I got them off Etsy) for the initial reveal and then confetti cannon’s after! I was afraid someone would shoot the confetti cannons off too early (ASHLEY!!!!) So we waited until after we knew to do those 🙂 I ordered the confetti cannons from Superior Celebrations!
I love seeing Gannon’s reaction to finding out we are having two boys. I think it has been hard for Gannon to really relate until he could put an actual “gender” to what the babies are! Especially since he doesn’t have any of the physical changes happening to his body. So now that we know, I think it all seems really real!!!
It’s just so exciting picturing those tiny embryos realizing they were boys this whole time!! What an incredible miracle from God! I can’t wait until our next ultrasound so we can look at their faces and really start figuring out who they look like! I’m hoping I have 2 boys that look just like their handsome daddy! 🙂
Thank you to Ryan Fitzgerald for capturing such a special night! It will be so much fun to look back on these pictures for years to come! And thank you to Jessica for filming it all for us!! You seriously have the most steady hand I’ve ever seen 🙂 I decided to make a video because the night was too fun to just put pictures up on my blog! So here is the video of the reveal! 🙂
I had no idea my mom wanted to give a speech and how precious was it?! I’m glad she gave a speech because there was no way I would have been able to speak. But I love how she says she never wants to forget the journey that we’ve been on or anyone else who is still in the middle of their own right now! And she’s so right.
So I just wanted to take a minute to say THANK YOU to all the girls who came to celebrate our gender reveal with us who are in the middle of their own journey. I remember how hard it was to be at celebrations like that and it truly means so much to me for you girls to be there. And I can’t wait for the day we get to celebrate each of your miracles!
Also, I want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who celebrated near and far with us! It has been a true testament to SO many answered prayers! And it was so incredible to be able to experience that with each of you!
I still can’t believe God has entrusted Gannon and I to raise two little boys, but our hearts are so full! I can’t wait for all things boy to take over our house! Bring on all the sports, bugs, mud pies, and most of all SNUGGLES!! There really isn’t anything like a mother/son relationship and I can’t wait for that! And I can’t wait to watch Gannon become a daddy to two little boys! He is already talking about all their future golf adventures! I’m sure those boys will have a set of clubs in their hands the second they start walking!
Our 6 year anniversary is this weekend, where has time gone?! And every year we have followed either the modern or traditional gifts and this year the modern gift is wood! So after 6 years of marriage, over 3 years of trying…we got to buy NURSERY FURNITURE for our “wood” gift!!! I’m just going to throw this out there, but I think this is the best anniversary gift yet! I can’t wait to start decorating our nursery and bringing it to life. This has been a room that has literally sat empty since we have lived in this house, so over 4 years now. It makes me want to cry thinking about how faithful God is to allow this moment to be here. And for us to be decorating a TWIN nursery! I’m truly blown away by His goodness.
For the nursery, we decided we want to do an “Oklahoman” theme! So bring on all the Buffalo or Bison, well that’s really as far as I have gotten… Haha!! But to compromise, I wanted a more modern nursery so we decided on some mid century modern furniture so it will be fun to see it all come together! Stay tuned for some pictures!
Thank you guys again for everyone who congratulated us, prayed for us, and celebrated with us!! Our precious boys are already so loved and we are so incredibly thankful for that!
Hope you all have a blessed week!!
Momma Brown 🙂
