Montgomery Manor

Yesterday my parents finally moved into their new home!  It was a bittersweet moment saying goodbye to the home my parents lived in for 15 years, but there’s something exciting about starting new! It makes me think of this quote “Home is a place you grow up wanting to leave, and grow old wanting to get back to.”  -John Ed Pearce

When we moved over into our “area” of town Gannon decided that his goal would be to get my family closer since his parents were already in our square mile! It all started with Nikki and Mark moving just 2 miles down the road from us! Since we are both doing renovations on our home it’s been super convenient just being able to drive down the street and borrow each others tools! Plus as soon as Nik and I start having babies it will be so fun that they will be able to go to the same schools! We’ve already decided that our kids are probably going to hate each other since we’ve tried to “plan” too much for them already! But hopefully not 🙂

So back to my parents. It has been so much fun getting to shop for houses with them! It’s crazy how each one is so different. My mom kept getting discouraged because they were having a hard time finding the right one. But I kept telling her that when the time was right the right one would come available. And once they got an offer on their house we found out that the perfect house was available.  Carol, Gannon’s mom had a listing appointment with the owners of their new home the week my parents got an offer on their house. God has impeccable timing 🙂 This whole process has been a roller coaster to say the least but it all eventually worked out. Yesterday we broke my parents home in with a little take out and pool session! Here are a few pictures of their GORGEOUS home!
